GAC Auto Guide

Make the evidence visible.

A useful automotive answer states what is known, which vehicle it applies to and where the information comes from.

Source hierarchy

We prefer the relevant assessment body for safety results, current local manufacturer documents for specifications, and company or exchange disclosures for business figures. Press releases are identified as manufacturer claims. Public documentation of a celebrity connection is not treated as proof of an independent purchase.

Market, model and measurement

We attach the market, model year and trim where the source provides them. Range figures retain the specified cycle. Electric range, combined range, sales, exports and production are kept separate. A group-level result is not presented as a model-level result.

Research and judgement

Our launch articles use public sources and editorial interpretation. They do not contain our own road-test measurements. Buying conclusions are conditional on the reader’s needs, local offer and ownership support. Unsupported superlatives, invented ratings and fabricated testimonials have no place here.

Updates and corrections

Each article shows a review date. Editors can revise claims and sources when stronger evidence becomes available. An old announcement remains a dated historical source; it is not silently presented as a current offer. The two companion publications share a publisher and are not used as independent validation for each other.

Photography

Editorial photographs illustrate the subject. We retain credits and licence information and identify model photographs that may show a different market or year. View image credits.
